It's a Cat's Life

  • Posted

After the recent sad death of 85 year old famous fashion legend Karl Lagerfeld, it is reported that his beloved cat "Choupette" is due to receive a "portion of his earnings" from his estimated £150 million estate.

Lagerfeld was the creative director for Chanel, Fendi, and his own fashion label. His lifetime work is therefore likely to continue to generate income for many years, meaning that his cat will be well looked after for the foreseeable future

In similar cases, Michael Jackson is reported to have left "Bubbles" his chimpanzee a bequest of $2 million payable upon his death. However the chimp was re-homed in an animal sanctuary prior to the star's death. A $4 million trust was also reportedly set up by the widow of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry for their dogs, along with an extra $1 million for an employee to care for them.
