Our Legal Status

Forshaws Davies Ridgway LLP (“the LLP”) is a limited liability partnership registered in England and Wales with registered number OC310548.

A list of members of the LLP (who are referred to as "partners) together with those non-members who are designated as partners and their professional qualifications is open to inspection at our registered office. Any reference to a partner means a member of Forshaws Davies Ridgway LLP or a consultant or employee of the LLP or any of its controlled, managed or affiliated entities with equivalent standing and qualification.

Please note that when we refer to “a partner” or “partners” it should not be construed as indicating that the members of the LLP are carrying on business in partnership for the purposes of the Partnership Act 1890.

The LLP uses a number of trading names including FDR Law.

Professional Indemnity Insurance and Provision of Services Regulations 2009

The LLP maintains the compulsory £3million professional indemnity insurance required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority with International Insurance Company of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (policy number P20A264107P).

Compliance

A copy of the current Solicitor’s Handbook which contains the Solicitor’s Code of Conduct 2011 is available from the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s website.

As required by the Solicitors Regulation Authority we have two compliance officers:

  • Compliance Officer for Legal Practice: Matthew Hoe
  • Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration: Nigel Berry 

Complaints

Information about our complaints system is set out in our Terms of Business and in the letter we issue to our clients at the commencement of a matter.  If you require a copy of our Complaints Policy you should apply to our Client Care Team at client.care@fdrlaw.co.uk at our registered office.
