Stephen Woodall runs London Marathon for Cancer Research UK
Head of Commercial and Partner at FDR Law, Stephen Woodall will be running the London Marathon this year in aid of Cancer Research UK and would appreciate your support.
The big race is on Sunday 26th April 2020, which Stephen is currently preparing for with a gruelling training regime. The London Marathon (known through sponsorship as the Virgin Money London Marathon) is considered one of the top 6 World Marathon ‘Majors’. The race was first run on 29th March 1981 and has been held in the Spring of every year since.
Stephen’s chosen charity, Cancer Research UK, is a cancer research and awareness charity in the United Kingdom. Its aim is to reduce the number of deaths from cancer. As the world's largest independent cancer research charity it conducts research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Research activities are carried out in institutes, universities and hospitals across the UK, both by the charity's own employees and by its grant-funded researchers. It also provides information about cancer and runs campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the disease and influencing public policy.
