Will Week supporting Macmillan Cancer

  • Posted

FDR Law has joined forces with Macmillan Cancer Support to offer a free will-writing service to the people of Warrington.

From Monday 4th November FDR Law will waive their fees for one week, and instead will encourage clients to make a voluntary donation of £75 for a single Will and £125 for a double Will to Macmillan Cancer Support.

97% of Macmillan’s funding comes from voluntary donations, over a third of which is from gifts in Wills. Without these vital donations the development of cancer support services across the UK would not be possible.

The charity has funded millions of pounds worth of cancer services throughout Cheshire and Merseyside.  Macmillan Cancer Nurse Specialists work throughout the community in Warrington and recently Macmillan funded the refurbishment of the Macmillan Delamere Centre at Halton General Hospital that supports cancer patients across Warrington and Halton.  The project cost £1m.

Alastair Brown, solicitor says: “FDR Law are very proud to volunteer our legal expertise to help Macmillan Cancer Support. The money raised from this free will-writing initiative will help Macmillan to provide vital support services to people affected by cancer.”

Grace Higgins at Macmillan says: “We are extremely grateful to FDR Law for supporting Macmillan through this initiative. Whether people choose to donate now, in their wills, or both, their support is vital to ensuring that more services will be available to future generations of people affected by cancer in Warrington and the surrounding areas.”

To take advantage of FDR Law's free Will-writing offer, please call Tel: 01925 230000 or email info@fdrlaw.co.uk. The initiative is available from both the Palmyra Square, Warrington and Walton Road, Stockton Heath offices
