  • Posted

Warrington solicitor Jane Courtney, a commercial property specialist at law firm FDR Law, has just been promoted to Associate Solicitor – the first rung on the ladder to partner.

After gaining a law degree at the University of Hull and professional solicitor qualifications at Manchester Metropolitan Law School, she joined the firm in 2005 as a trainee. Since then she has specialised in commercial property work including landlord and tenant agreements, land acquisitions and re-financing as well as licensing law.

Jane, who lives in Appleton, has many strings to her bow. In addition to her legal expertise, she is fluent in both German and Italian and an accomplished musician on the piano, keyboard and flute.

Jane said: “I am delighted to be promoted to the position of Associate Solicitor at fdr. I’m fortunate to work for a company that successfully creates a working culture where ambition is supported to ensure professional achievement.  I look forward to continuing to progress my career and achieve my ultimate ambition to become a partner”.

Staff changes at fdr this month also include the arrival of a new paralegal, David Jones, who joins the firm from AIA Solicitors in Manchester. David, who lives in Great Sankey, will work in the Commercial Litigation and Employment Department with partner Stephen Poyner.
