The FDR difference
You don’t have to look far to find a personal injury solicitor these days – so why should you choose FDR to help you with your claim?
It is crucial you seek the best advice when pursuing a claim or tackling a dispute. Our clients have the edge by having access to one of Britain’s most renowned dispute resolution and litigation teams.
FDR’s dispute resolution and litigation team is headed by Stephen Lawson. Stephen has more than thirty years experience in the legal profession and a national reputation as a personal injury (PI) solicitor – currently Secretary of APIL (the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers), the body that oversees members of the claimant PI sector. He regularly acts on behalf of clients involved in cases which attract national media interest.
You need access to the right advice. Personal injury law is a fast changing environment, one that is often subject to changes in the law or new legal precedent. So as a client of Forshaws Davies Ridgway, you are assured that our legal team is fully up to speed with the latest developments to provide you with the best service and most appropriate advice.
Road traffic accidents
We provide assistance to hundreds of clients every year who have been injured in a road traffic accident. That scope of work covers everything from whiplash to cases involving the death of a loved one.
You may be entitled to claim if:
- You were a passenger in a car, van, bus or coach involved in a collision. Here, we would help you make a personal injury compensation claim against the insurance company of the person responsible for the accident – usually the driver of the vehicle you were travelling in or a third party driver (or both).
- You were a pedestrian, a motorcyclist, a pedal cyclist or a driver and a vehicle collided with you. Here, your personal injury claim would be made against the insurance company of the person driving the vehicle.
- You have been involved in a road traffic accident abroad or on holiday.
General accidents and accidents at work
We have helped our clients who have been injured in an accident recover millions of pounds of compensation. If you have been involved in an accident and subsequently suffered an injury as a result, we can help you too.
Accidents can happen anywhere but typically in the workplace – on a construction site, in an office environment or at a factory, warehouse or shop. If you are in the workplace, your employer has a responsibility for your safety by providing a safe environment and the right equipment for you to carry out the required work. If they fail on this responsibility, you may be entitled to compensation for personal injury – that could include:
- Not providing you with the right equipment to do your job
- Not giving you adequate training for the role or task
