
Stephen Poyner was admitted as a solicitor in 1987 and after 7 years with a large city practice joined Forshaws Davies Ridgway in 1992.
Stephen heads up FDR’s Commercial Litigation and Employment Team and specialises in substantial commercial and corporate disputes, including retention of title claims, actions for breach of directors‘ duties, derivative actions, shareholder claims, warranty claims arising out of business and share sales and negligence claims against professionals. He also has wide experience of all aspects of High Court property litigation from actions for specific performance and or damages arising from property sales, to complex claims for statutory compensation in the Lands Tribunal.
He is also an experienced Employment Lawyer acting predominantly for Employers in the Employment Tribunal and Civil Courts, as well as on non contentious issues, and has particular expertise in the drafting and enforcement of restrictive covenants and the protection of trade and commercial secrets. Stephen is acknowledged as combining technical legal expertise with commercial acumen to deliver the very best outcome for his clients.
Stephen Poyner is a Notary Public as well as being a Partner in Forshaws Davies Ridgway LLP and is a full member of the Notaries Society. Stephen provides a wide range of Notarial services for individuals and businesses. Clients can be seen at any of the offices in Warrington or visited at the client’s premises by arrangement.
