Ruth Hetherington has over 20 years experience of specialising in Children’s Law and domestic abuse.

Ruth belongs to the Law Society's Domestic Abuse Working Group.  This is a very influential role that involves her being consulted on forthcoming changes in legislation surrounding domestic violence. This involvement highlights the reputation that Ruth has gained for being one of the region’s most respected Family specialists.

Ruth also has extensive experience in divorce, separation and financial matters arising from these situations.

In addition, Ruth also belongs to Resolution – First for Family and sits on their specialist panel (domestic abuse and children); the Law Society Children Panel; the Law Society Family Law Panel and is a Law Society CPD Assessor. Ruth is also a Collaborative Lawyer.
