Will and estate disputes

The Civil Litigation Team at FDR has considerable experience and expertise in working for grieving families who have lost a loved one as result of an accident which was not their fault.

If we are instructed to represent the interests of a grieving family we do all we guarantee to do all we can to

  • Settle a claim as quickly as possible and
  • Settle a claim on the best terms as possible and
  • To offer a sympathetic approach

We aim to offer not only top qualify legal advice but also guidance and practical support.  We work with a variety of other specialist experts such as medical experts, health professional, counsellors and independent financial advisors.

  • Grieving families

Working with the families of people who have been killed in accidents is one of the most difficult jobs a Solicitor can be called upon to undertake – this is where a sympathetic approach from the FDR team will excel.  We have the experience and we have the expertise.  Our team is accredited by various bodies including the Law Society Personal Injury Panel, The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, The Association of Contentious Trust and Probate specialists (ACTAPS) and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).

  • Our team

Our team is headed by Stephen Lawson who brings his unique expertise to this complex area of law.  Stephen is a Solicitor with over 25 years of experience.  Stephen is highly regarded in his field and this is highlighted by his his position as the national Secretary of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and his membership of The Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP).

  • Fatal accidents

We believe that people going to work have the right to remain safe – and to come home again healthy at the end of the day

We believe that road users have the right to use a road without risk of injury.

Unfortunately individual rights are breached far too often – 180 workers were killed at work during the past year and over 2500 people were killed on the highway.  We believe that when these rights are breached injured victims or their Defendants should be entitled to full and proper compensation.

Fatal Accident claims are governed by unique rules affecting the right to bring claims – including the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1934 and the Fatal Accident Act of 1976 – and our team has specialist knowledge and experience in these areas which means our team is recognised as providing a sensitive and caring service whilst ensuring maximum compensation is won for you.

If you have lost a love one as a result of a road traffic collision, at work or through any reason which was not their fault then speak to Stephen or one of his expert team and we will work for you to achieve maximum awards.  We can not bring back a loved one but we can try and help make life easier for you.
